Medstock Transparent Film Dressing Extra Thin is a sterile, waterproof polyurethane adhesive film dressing designed to protect superficial wounds and secure medical devices. It provides a breathable barrier against external moisture and contaminants, supporting a moist wound environment. Suitable for wounds with nil to very low exudate, this transparent and conformable dressing allows for easy inspection of the wound or device site without removal, offering secure fixation with a hypoallergenic adhesive.

How To Use

Clean and dry the skin and wound area according to local wound care protocols, ensuring the surrounding skin is free of oils and moisture.
Select a dressing size that provides a margin of film beyond the edges of the wound or device site.
Peel away the protective backing to expose the adhesive surface, taking care not to touch the central area that will cover the wound.
Apply the film dressing over the wound or device, smoothing from the centre outward to remove air bubbles and ensure full contact with the skin.
Gently press around the edges to secure adhesion and confirm the dressing is firmly in place.
Replace the dressing according to clinical advice or if it becomes loose, damaged, or visibly soiled.

Warnings

For external use only and for use on intact or superficial skin wounds as directed by a healthcare professional.
Do not use on heavily exuding, infected, or deep wounds unless under medical supervision.
