Hydralyte Electrolyte Ice Blocks are suitable for the entire family, including babies, pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. Helps replace water and electrolytes lost due to vomiting, diarrhoea, heavy sweating, vigorous exercise and other dehydratin conditions.

When children and adults are dehydrated and suffering from nausea, sucking slowly on the frozen Ice Blocks makes it easier to rehydrate.

Directions

  1. Place Hydralyte Ice Blocks in the freezer.
  2. When frozen cut one end with clean scissors.
  3. Push the frozen Hydralyte Ice Block from the cut end.
  4. Suck small amounts until consumed.

Usage:
Hydralyte Ice Blocks may be consumed unfrozen, however, Hydralyte Ready to Use Solution is more convenient as a drink.

Recommended dosage for dehydration due to vomiting and diarrhoea:

  • Age in years: Under 12 months
    Recommended dosage: 1 x ice block every 60 mins
    Max Ice Blocks per day: 16
  • Age in years: 1-3 years
    Recommended dosage: 1 x ice block every 60 mins
    Max Ice Blocks per day: 24
  • Age in years: 3-6 years
    Recommended dosage: 1 x ice block every 30 mins
    Max Ice Blocks per day: 32
  • Age in years: 6-12 years
    Recommended dosage: 2 x ice block every 30 mins
    Max Ice Blocks per day: 43
  • Age in years: 12-Adult
    Recommended dosage: 3 x ice block every 30 mins
    Max Ice Blocks per day: 64

Active Ingredients

Sodium Chloride: 2.5mg/mL.
Potassium Citrate (Monohydrate): 2.2mg/mL.
Citric Acid Monohydrate: 4.8mg/mL.
Glucose (Monohydrate): 16mg/mL.

Warnings

Seek medical advice if vomiting or diarrhoea persists for more than:

  • 6 hours in infants under 6 months
  • 12 hours in children under 3 years
  • 24 hours in children aged 3–6 years
  • 48 hours for adults and children aged over 6 years

Warning contains:
0.86 mg/mL potassium
1.22 mg/mL sodium

Be aware that dehydration due to vomiting or diarrhoea can be dangerous in babies and children under 5 years old and in elderly people.
